Turnkey EV charger installation and ongoing management for multifamily, commercial, and institutional properties across Delaware, typically at zero cost to the property owner.
Poweral installs and manages EV charging stations for multifamily and condo properties across Delaware, including Newark and New Castle. As a Tesla Certified Installer supporting a wide range of charger brands, we coordinate permitting, utility approval, and installation directly, so your team doesn’t have to manage any part of the process in house.
We also work with hotels, offices, retail centers, parking garages, hospitals, colleges, and fleets.
What it costs, and who owns the chargers
You don’t pay to install
Installation is typically free to the property owner. Poweral covers the cost using available Delaware state and utility rebates, including the DNREC program below, and in some cases co-invests alongside the property owner when rebate coverage doesn’t fully offset the project cost.
You keep the chargers
The property owner keeps the chargers. Poweral handles the ongoing work of running them, including 24/7 remote monitoring for uptime and faults, software and firmware updates, driver billing and payment processing, customer support for charging issues, and scheduling any needed repairs or hardware servicing, in exchange for a share of the on-site charging revenue, on top of the added value EV charging brings for residents, guests, tenants, or staff.
How the process works
- 1
Site assessment
We review your property’s electrical capacity, parking layout, and expected usage.
- 2
Proposal
You get a clear plan for charger placement, count, and type before anything is scheduled.
- 3
Permitting and utility coordination
We handle applications with the local authority having jurisdiction and your utility directly.
- 4
Installation
Completed by our licensed electrical contractors, with Poweral as the Tesla Certified Installer overseeing the work.
- 5
Ongoing management
We keep monitoring charger uptime and handling maintenance well after the install is finished.

What Delaware law means for condo, co-op, and multifamily properties
Delaware doesn’t currently have a state law, like New Jersey’s, that limits how much a condo or co-op association can restrict a resident’s EV charger request. That means the decision sits with the board or management company’s own rules for now.
For board members and property managers, that’s actually a reason to move first rather than wait. A property that installs ahead of demand sets its own standards for placement, cost-sharing, and licensed installation, instead of reacting to a resident’s request under pressure and improvising the rules on the spot. We help boards and managers plan for that instead of reacting to it.

Charger types we install
Level 2 chargers
The standard choice for residential, workplace, and hotel parking, where vehicles are usually parked for several hours.
DC fast chargers
Suited to fleet depots and high-turnover commercial locations, where a quick charge matters more than how long the car sits.
We help you decide which fits your property during the site assessment, not before we’ve seen how it’s actually used.

Frequently asked questions
Does Poweral install EV chargers in Delaware?
Yes. Poweral installs and manages EV charging stations for properties throughout Delaware, including Newark and New Castle.
What types of Delaware properties get EV chargers from Poweral?
Multifamily communities and condos, hotels, offices, retail centers, parking garages, hospitals, colleges, and fleets.
Who pays for installation, and who owns the chargers?
Installation is typically free to the property owner, using available Delaware state and utility rebates. The property owner keeps the chargers, and Poweral manages the charging operation for a share of the on-site revenue.
Who handles permitting and utility approval for Delaware installs?
Poweral coordinates permitting and utility approval directly with the local authority having jurisdiction and the utility, so property owners don’t have to manage it themselves.
Are there incentives available for EV charger installation in Delaware?
Yes. DNREC’s EV Charging Equipment Rebate program currently covers up to 75 percent of station and installation costs for multifamily and commercial properties, up to $10,000 per dual-port charger, on a first-come, first-served basis. Delmarva Power adds a separate $300 business rebate. The federal Section 30C tax credit expired June 30, 2026, and is no longer available.
Does Delaware law protect a resident’s right to install an EV charger in a condo or co-op?
Not currently. Delaware doesn’t have a state law like New Jersey’s limiting how associations can restrict charger requests, so the rules are set by each board or management company.
